Customer story · Moovers
A holiday car rental company that sells via API and wanted the same rigour on WhatsApp
Moovers is a holiday-focused car rental company whose bookings arrive automatically via API from brokers and agencies. It wanted customers writing on WhatsApp to get the same service, with the same rigour and the same metrics. With Bota and RentHub it does, plus a channel-exclusive promotion that lifts conversion.

In brief
- Moovers, a Spanish holiday car rental company with deliveries at airports and stations, runs Bota on WhatsApp and web, integrated with RentHub.
- 19% of conversations that reach a quote end in a confirmed booking, and more than half of all conversations arrive outside office hours.
- A promotion created in RentHub, 10% off the first booking on WhatsApp, is communicated in the conversation and lifts the channel's conversion.
- Bota serves each customer in their own language, with more conversations in English than in Spanish, and each one is logged with its outcome, language and timings.
The situation
Moovers is a car rental company strongly focused on holiday customers, with deliveries at airports and stations. Its operation is highly automated: almost every booking arrives via API from brokers and travel agencies, with nobody keying it in, and direct sales were marginal.
Customers writing on WhatsApp, on the other hand, were handled manually, without the rigour or the metrics of the rest of the operation. Moovers wanted that channel to work as well as API sales, without adding load to the team, and to measure it with the same indicators.
The solution
Bota was switched on for WhatsApp and the website, connected to RentHub, with the same agent and the same rules on both channels. It serves each customer in their language, quotes with the system's real availability and rates, confirms the booking in RentHub and routes questions about ongoing rentals to the company's support channel.
To give the channel a commercial push, Moovers created an exclusive promotion in RentHub, 10% off the first booking on WhatsApp, and Bota announces it in the conversation and applies it to the price: the customer knows from the start that booking on WhatsApp is a better deal, and the channel's conversion improves noticeably.
Each conversation is logged with its outcome, language and timings, so WhatsApp service is measured with the same rigour as API sales.
Results
Almost one in five conversations that reach a quote ends in a confirmed booking, more than half of all conversations arrive outside office hours and holiday customers who write get immediate service in their language. Moovers has metrics on WhatsApp service where there were none before, and a direct channel with its own promotion that wins bookings that used to go through intermediaries.
Capabilities that make the difference
RentHub integration
Availability, rates and a booking confirmed in the system, with no double data entry.
Promotions created in RentHub
A discount defined in the reservation system, such as 10% off the first booking on WhatsApp, is announced in the conversation and applied to the price with no extra work.
Service in the customer's language
Bota serves each customer in their own language; at Moovers most conversations are in English.
One agent on WhatsApp and web
The same rules, the same information and the same tone on both channels, with a single history per customer.
Metrics per conversation
Outcome, language, timings and closing reason for every conversation, to manage the channel with the same indicators as the rest of the business.
Support and sales kept separate
Requests about ongoing rentals go to the company's support channel; Bota focuses on selling and answering pre-booking questions.
Extended human service hours
Handover to the team follows an extended schedule; outside it, Bota keeps the conversation going and leaves the case ready.
“Almost everything comes in via API, but a customer who writes to us on WhatsApp deserves the same service. With Bota they get it, and the channel promotion has brought us more bookings than we expected.”
Luisa Marín · Head of Mobility, MooversFrequently asked questions about this story
Does Bota make sense if almost all sales come in via API?
Yes. API sales cover brokers and agencies; a customer who writes directly on WhatsApp or web gets the same service with Bota, with the same rigour and the same metrics, without adding load to the team.
Does Bota integrate with RentHub?
Yes. Moovers runs on RentHub: Bota quotes with real availability and rates and confirms the booking in the system.
How does the WhatsApp promotion work?
Moovers created it in RentHub, its reservation system: 10% off the first booking on WhatsApp. Bota announces it when quoting and applies it to the price, so the customer sees the discount before booking.
